Ginger A XL 42 Wall Light by Joan Gaspar for Marset.
The Ginger family is characterised by a lightweight disk-shaped shade which pays tribute to the drums of Ginger Baker of Cream, the 1960s rock band.
The collection uses new materials and technology applied to the lighting sector: layers of wood, paper and resin shaped under high pressure to achieve a pendant shade thickness of just 4 mm. Although wood is difficult to shape, the Ginger collection has found a way to make it work, resulting in a sleek and intimate lamp with a light source with a soft glow.
Released in 2014, this Ginger A XL42 Wall Light features a movable swing arm in black lacquered aluminium that can be extended or retracted, making it easy to reposition the shade for different lighting needs.
The Ginger collection includes a floor and table lamp and pendant light.
