Fun 7DM Pendant Light by Verner Panton for Verpan.

With a desire to create a light that could diffuse light effectively while making a bold impact, Verner Panton designed the Fun collection.

Designed in 1969, Panton initially experimented with metal discs for the design, but after stumbling upon some seashells during a stroll along a Malaysian beach, he decided to opt for mother-of-pearl instead.

The Fun 7DM Pendant comprises a single cluster of these mother-of-pearl discs suspended by chains of small metal rings mounted on a ceiling plate.

When illuminated, the pendant casts intricate patterns onto its surroundings, evoking an enchanting ambience.

When moved by a breeze, the hanging discs produce a gentle crystaline sound, adding an extra sensory element to the piece.
