Frits Henningsen was one of Denmark’s most distinguished designers of the early twentieth century. Designed in 1938, the sculptural Windsor Chair is characterised by its fluid curves and expert wood craftsmanship. 

Inspired by British 17th century styles that originated in the city of Windsor, Hennigsen’s adaptation of the Windsor chair is a high-back solid oak dining chair. The clean lines and graceful curves exemplify his uncompromising purist approach.

Now reissued by Carl Hansen & Son, the Windsor chair is available to a wider audience. Its restrained and timeless design ensures it will be perfectly placed in a range of interior settings.
