Eames DSG chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames 1950, Herman Miller.

The Eames developed the design for a fibreglass side-chair in the same year as their armchair. The potential applications through different base options were immense and the sidechair offered stacking capability. The fibreglass sidechairs were produced by Herman Miller and proved to be an international success meeting demand from both residential and contract markets.

DSG (Dining Side Guard) was a model aimed dining or desk usage, with a 4-leg base construction whereby the rear leg extended marginally to avoid the back of the chair touching the wall. The steel tube base, has H-configuration beneath and inset plastic self-levelling feet.
