1960 Danish Cabinet

Anonymous Danish cabinet, c.1960

Danish cabinet in teak with sliding tambour door and ash-lined interior. The tambour doors create a simple front elevation without hardware and the only accent being contrasting solid door handles.

The legs are unified with the main body of the unit with slight sculptural shape and tapering form. The overall aesthetic is one of restrained elegance.

Internally, the design incorporates a bank of solid ash drawers, of tiered depths.

The cabinet is not marked or by a known maker or designer but is indicative of high-quality Danish craftsmanship associated with the post-war era of cabinet making.
