To commemorate the anniversary of the Aalto Stool 60, research-based design studio Formafantasma crafted five distinct iterations of the Stool 60, each revering the innate elegance of wood. Among them, Stool 60 Wild Birch stands as a testament, hewn from the untamed birch, celebrating the myriad possibilities and fluctuations found within the birch woodlands.

The Stool 60 Wild Birch encourages a broader, more unbridled, and conscientious utilization of Finnish birch. It proudly exhibits natural etchings such as wood knots and the traces left by insects, drawing attention to the repercussions of climate transformation and the industrial transformation of our forests.

Each Stool 60 is crafted from ‘wild birch,’ ensuring that every piece is unique.
